Academics from Symbiosis International University in India, Law School – Pune took part in the latest round of EURASIA short-term training (September 31st - October 4th, 2019). The main focus of the visit was the refinement and content validation of the EURASIA courses to be implemented in SLS – Pune.
During the training, on 30 September 2019, EURASIA team members from Sofia University and the visiting professors from India were invited together with high level government officials and NGO representatives to join the celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, organised by The Ambassador of India H.E. Ms. Pooja Kapur in partnership with the 'East-West' Indological Foundation in Bulgaria. Prof. Dr. Maria Stoicheva – EURASIA Project Coordinator and Vice-rector of Sofia University was an honorary guest of the event.
The event entitled '150 Years of the Mahatma: A tribute by Bulgarians to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi' included the exhibition of works modern Bulgarian sculptors and painters devoted to the Mahatma – “Vigour of Truth” and the validation of the first Bulgarian postage stamp bearing the image of the Mahatma.
