On September 13th and 14th, 2019, Symbiosis Law School Pune (constituent of the Symbiosis International University in India) hosted its 8th International Annual Research Conference on Rule of Law in Context: Indian and Global Perspectives (SYMROLIC 2019).
Dr. Shashikala Gurpur, Fulbright Scholar, Dean of the Faculty of Law at SIU and Director of Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in her welcome address highlighted the significance of the conference in its providing a forum for professional exchange and discussions in the filed of law. The EURASIA project which SLS, Pune is a partner in was well represented by the inauguration of the EURASIA website during the first day of the conference. The conference panel on European Studies in Law, Management, Humanities, Science, Trade and Economics was chaired by Dr. Vihar Georgiev, from the European Studies Department at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski and co-chaired by Prof. Mirko Varano, Senior Advisor International Projects, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, University Administration, International Relations Office, Stockholm, Sweden. Prof. Christofer Fredriksson, Independent Consultant, International Relations Coordinator and Programme Advisor, Stockholm University of Arts, Stockholm, Sweden.
The conference participants also benefited from the workshop on EU-funded projects given by Mr. Mirko Varano and Prof. Christopher Fredriksson.
