The Second International Conference “Current Issues in Contemporary Chinese and Oriental Studies” dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Chinese Studies Program at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” was held online on November 19-20, 2021. The conference brought together scholars from Bulgaria, China, India, Korea, the UK, the USA, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Malta, Hungary, Russia and Georgia.
Prof. Lin Wenshuang, Vice-Dean of the School of European Languages and Cultures at Beijing Foreign Studies University, who was the leader of the BFSU team on the EURASIA, project spoke at the opening ceremony. She emphasised the importance of EURASIA in increasing the visibility of European Studies at BFSU and in deepening its internationalisation processes. BFSU’s fruitful cooperation with Sofia University and the other project partners was also discussed.
