The updated course content has been elaborated as a result of Prof. Wang’s participation in the first EURASIA training round held in Catania, Italy, on 22nd October – 3th November, 2018, and in a series of distance peer review sessions with Prof. Dr. Maria Stoicheva and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolina Tsvetkova, members of the EU Studies Department of Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University.
This course has been subjected to accreditation procedures at GDUFS – China and was delivered as a compulsory course for MA students of Students of European Studies.

The course is designed to help MA students of European Union Studies acquire a better understanding of the roles culture plays in the starting, the ongoing process and the future of European Integration.
The course concentrates on cultural aspects of European integration. The students are expected to have basic knowledge of the history of European society and the history of post-World War II European integration, with particular reference to the development of the institution of the European Communities and the EU. Among the issues to be discussed, particular attention is given to the meanings of Europe, European identity, culture, language and education policies.
