The first EURASIA summer school aimed at young researchers and future or novice university teachers took place on 14-18 June 2021. Organised by the Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM-IAE) at the University of Versailles-St-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), partner in the project consortium, the summer school provided a forum for 25 established presenters and 36 PhDs and junior academics to share and reflect as well as actively participate through group and individual problem-solving tasks.
The sessions shed light on modern research and methodology approaches which can be used by PhD students and young faculty. The presenters also shared their experience in developing, piloting and accrediting EURASIA courses in European Studies (including online ones). A special strand was devoted to ensuring the quality of the teaching process and Quality Assurance at the tertiary level as a whole. Student and young academics’ employability was also focused on.
The second EURASIA Summer School for PhD students and junior faculty on the topic of “China-EU Cooperation was held between 5-9 July 2021 on the initiative of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. It was jointly organised by GDUFS and Sofia University and attracted participants from the two institutions as well as BFSU, the other partner university from China and the Bulgarian Academy of Science.
